Claremont was where Lampi and I ventured to a few years ago. We wanted to go to Lyme but ran out of time. Keene is the thorn in the arse I guess. They have shut off all connector trails so you cannot get through without getting fined. Local clubs dropped the ball on access.
The signage was fine the whole way to Claremont, it was returning to Keene when it seemed like they all disappeared. Personally, I blame someone with the initials DD for getting us lost I would ride that area again in a second (when things freeze up a bit) the groomers were out on New Years day which tells me they are dedicated..
We parked at Keene State Athletic complex in the center of town. It worked out well. We rode 150 miles to Clermont and back. Clermont is only 55 miles away but we got lost. It was good fun. More washouts than a chinese laundry. My sled is covered in mud.
Sorryfellas, my phone was dead and I got caught up at an after work party yesterday evening. I'll assume you found parking. Currently my sled is half disassembled. My center to center for the clutches was off by 1/4"+ .
I will most like ride from Keene -North. 6-8" Monday will put trails in great shape in S NH. No need to drive up north. Even Lyme would be a better drive then Nash Stream
I am ready to go. I will call you guys today to get everything set. I am working tomorrow, so I will be loaded up Monday night ready to jump in the car and roll out at 3:45am if I ride with someone (ouch) or 4:45am if I go up 93.
If it ends up being the three of us, we can throw a sled in my truck and trailer the other two if you want. Let me know.. Looks like 4-6 inches on New Years day, this might be a good ride..
5am at the Fireside unless I drive alone. If I go alone, I will meet you on route 93 at 5:45am. My Collett communicator is not working. I'm thinking a new one is in the future.
#7, #2 and #13... I registered today at RJ's Motorsports in Nashua. Painless and got to check out a snoscoot. Looked pretty good, but they are asking too much money.
If you guys register in NH, make sure to use the Brookline Icebreakers as the local club. All the money goes to grooming the local trails in Brookline, as well as the poker run, rader run and funds to help the fire dept and local families.
Does anyone want to go to Groveton, NH to ride on New Year's Day? We could do an easy 180 miles to Pittsburg and back. It's the only time I can go for a while. I can drive and I have one spot available on my trailer.
Who's in? I'm not registered, but could do so this weekend. All I need is one WPR, but the more the merrier.
