Back from Aruba! El Gaucho's was ok, 1 person got sick. We hit Texas de Brazil later in the week and I've never eaten at a better place...#7 you would have been proud. Sipping 100 year old Grand Marniere was the highlight of the night. I have hi jacked this thread...
I assume you guys have all figured out that is a type-o in the post topic line where "on" is supposed to be "no". So with that in mind, this is not a hi-jack:
Seeing the courderoy of the the groomers on the ski trails this year is making me long for the groomed trail.
#388, seeing those machines up at the friendly little mountain makes me regret that I never got a chance to drive one. But it does remind me of that great night of riding. That should have got you wproty - it was that good.
#3 is still a lock for me this year with the sauna meeting.
#5
I'm excited to see who our neighbors to the north will put in front tomorrow. If the dems do take it this year, history will be made later this year.
two shocking things - I never thought I'd love the site of Pierce Brosnan so much. It is great to see the return of #10 to the page!! I guess all this snow finally got to him.
And talk about a hijack, #7, whoa - where did that post come from?!/!?!
You have officially hi-jacked the post #5. I'll take the blame, but...I never would have road my sled through a rock infested mudhole either. I would have ridden over to Pisgah State park and back into the far western part of Mass. I also never mentioned 100 mph on Southern NH trails, there are a few spots in the Dennison area that provides that opportunity. You and I are going to take a trip out of Barre so I can show you 1st hand what is available right out are back door(don't take that the wrong way either). Plan on a trip when I get back from ARUBA!
#2, of course you can blame whoever you want, but it is clear to me that #388 is the one to blame here. first he lures you all into riding southern NH and then he is a no-show. he claims he regularly does 100mph on these trails but I know first hand from riding these trails that he is full of it (although I must admit that he is right on the money that I've never owned a sled that will actually do 100mph - that was a good one #388!).
oops, I guess this response should have been in the ride report right!? oh well, riding local trails is always good to connect to our roots. And remind us how good it is up in the County.
Also, keep in mind that southern NH has already turned into the new northern Mass with all the relocatee residents. The trail access and riding will only get worse with time. NH is now two different states from the north to the south. You wait and see how the state will go in the primaries. John McCain is begging for a repeat but he has missed the boat. Even he will know that good riding in southern NH is a thing of yesteryear.
MAX SPEED 49.8 MPH, # 13 this was in the field @ 5 and 390.... also if we continued on 393 it would have taken us back to 5 and cut out a bunch of time. Who's idea was it to ride in Keene without a map? I will blame 99:)
# 2
99 your turn

100 mph is doable in certain spots and relatively safe. I do not believe you've ever been to the Dennison area snowmobiling? Seeing is believing, but you have to own a sled that truly goes 100 mph.
Can't wait to read the New Year's Day ride report. Who went? To be honest, I don't even recall where #10 and I parked 2 years ago (with similar high snow conditions). We asked for a place from a local and ended up on the side of the road somewhere near a local trailhead. I believe we were about 2-3 miles from Corr. 5.
I applaud #388 for recommending local trails when conditions permit, but it is not like the riding we are used to. I don't know how he sees 100mph but you would think that hit in the back by #77 (Big J) would have set him straight.
I was on snowshoes on New Year's Day and loving it. myself, #19 and #43 were with #9 family and we were tromping around floating above the 2+ feet of snow in southern NH.
