For Ski Guides if we order the Deep ones we can cut the full length strips into 12"-15" sections and space then 8"- 12" or so appart extending the run length. I mention the Deep ones so that the skiis will say high enough so no Skegs will catch in the void space. This could save some $$$$$$.
I can be around most of this weekend, Sunday is better for me, i can be free! Sat. I could do early morning only, until 11:00 as I have other plans Sat.

UPDATE: I wanted to let everyone know that I got the registration for the 4-place yesterday and that total was $53.50. (someone owes me a beer for waiting in that God forsaken Leominster RMV) FYI: It is registered for up to 3,000lbs GVW so please be aware of that.
I would like to start work on the brakes, maybe this weekend so if anyone has some free time and would like to meet at #10 property to check it out give me a call. I will put the plate on and put the reg in the special holder (very cool) so it will be ready for use. I just want to pull the wheels and do a hub inspection first. Then troubleshoot the brakes and see what's up.
Something to think about, please let me know if you would like to chip in on ownership of the 4-place; otherwise the current 4 "owners" should plan to each give me appx $500 shortly. One extra owner would drop the fee to $400 each and so on.
#5 & #1776 Thanks for looking into this, nice purchase that I think WPR members will get some good use of. I know I look forward to the trip with the new 4-place.
Like #5 say's it is in pretty good over-all condition, some minor items need attention, we'll certainly get on these right away.
Anyone have an extra old track that could be used as a pad protecting the plywood from our pics would sure be appreciated.

#10 and I brought the latest Club purchase home today. It is pretty excellent. It needs very little work and is really ready to go as is. Of course that's not good enough for us - so we will over-maintain it in preparation for the trip. I will create a list of exactly what is needed and the costs. Anything that is not required I will put to a vote as far as expenditures.
You will be happy to know we paid $1,900. I will write up the bill of sale for less so sales tax will be less. The first thing I would like to put to vote is do you want me to register the trailer in my name or would someone else like the honors. It makes no difference to me, but I can go to the registry at any time and get it done.
#10 and I determined that as a first rule of the trailer, it is in everyone who wants in best interest that only owners of the trailer are allowed to use the trailer. Lending the trailer out to non-owners will not be allowed. No exceptions. Any member can buy into ownership upon review and approval of the current owners. Who are by the way, as of this writing #3, #5, #10, #99.
Once the shopping list of expenditures is approved we will divide by the number of members that want ownership and I will ask for some dough. As a quick list here is the following cost/work that is anticipated:
- sales tax + registration (~$100) - brake maintainence (cost: ? - don't know problem yet) - ski guides - (anyone have an old truck bed liner? otherwise ~$150) - track mats/protectors (#10 got us 2 tracks to attach, any others? #6?) - bearing buddies (I have a set to donate and #10 has a set to donate) - rear pylon marker (~$10) - spare rim/tire (#10 may have 1 that will work; otherwise ~$45, ) - tie down crank handle (~$10) - rubber tie down bar protector ends (to protect paint on skis - ~$20) - tongue + rear ramp locks (~$30) - side reflectors (~$20)
Thanks to #1776 for finding a great trailer for our trip. Thanks to #10 for making a place to store and work on it until we go. I think everyone will be happy with this purchase.
Can we confirm that #99 or #388 have offered to pull the 4 place for this trip? I have thought about #2's idea and I think it's reasonable to load sleds in the back of each tow vehicle and just go in 2 trucks. 5 + 3. If more than the 4 current owners would like to buy in, then I say we allow that and divide all gas money by the number of owners. Same for the overnight parking charges.
This trip will be fun and easier since we can divide the driving by 4. It tows easy. He gave us the original brochure, here are the specs:
Model: KARAVAN ULTRA-20-2-SB; carrying cap: 3,200lbs; tire size: 20.5/8 x 10 L.R.C.; bed length: 20'; bed width: 100"; trailer weight: 1,220lbs; suspension: torsion; axles: 2; coupler: 2"; elec plug: std. 7-pin round; brakes: electric (front axle).
Questions, comments, suggestions, work volunteers, purchases, donations, rule suggestions, recommendations and all other forms of communication regarding the 4-place are more than welcome. Let's hear from the peanut gallery.
Call my cellphone when you go, I might be available too. I live 10 miles from Brockton. It's right on route 24. That would be 495 to 24 for you central Massachusetts people.
What time are you planning on going? I am definately free in the afternoon, might possibly be able to get away in the a.m. also. I know where Brocton is and have a new car GPS so we can find the address to meet him at.
I thnk I should be able to find a way to go.

Nice work #1776!! Now sit back and watch how it's done:
I already talked w/ Mike and I'm going down to Brockton on Monday mid-day with the cash. We talked for a while and he says this trailer is in perfect condition and tows like a dream. If you're truck is not set-up for electric brakes no problem he doesn't even use them. New plywood decking, no ski guides (we should do them), missing one tie-down, tongue jack, no spare incl.
Load by pulling out the rear ramp and unload by jackknifing the trailer a little bit and drive off the snowsheild/front ramps. He says we will love the trailer.
2000 karavan all aluminum 4 place snowmobile trailer.drive on drive off style with snowshield in front .no more pulling machines off .trailer has electric brakes .can also be used for atv's.trailer is in excellent condition .first to see will buy.call mike at 508-962-7947. thanks
Location: brockton
