RE: Wpr Layoffs

The senators should give back what they have taken too!!!! Of course this doesn't come up. ALthought I don't like the scale of these things but the execs were promised this money we'll before hand so they rightfully own it.

AIG has been bailed out for $200 Billion (so far, but there is much more coming) and the Government wants $165 Million back.

They need to shake things up at AIG.

Connecticut Senator Christopher Dodd and Barney Frank are to blame for this mess. The Senate Finance Committee's bailout bill left the door open for these bonuses being paid.

They are front and center asking for it back.

Replace those clowns and leave the soon to be fired execs at AIG alone.

I heard the company is going to ask all managers that got a bonus to give at least half of it back.  It made me ask myself if I would give half back.  Which prompts me to have a little survey.

How many members would give back half of a bonus if the company asked:

#5: No F'n way!

The way I see it, these people did what they were asked to do.  They acted in the best interests of the company - which is exactly what they are paid, and quite frankly, employed to do!  It's not up to the employees to determine what is good or bad economic policy.

If they knew they were acting unethically, that's different.  But from what little I know, I don't see it that way.  Maybe at the highest levels they understood what impact they were having, but the middle line managers and down, they must march to their superior's commands.  That's what we all do right??!?!

Give the money I justly earned back to be distributed out to those that... you know, I don't even have a clue where this money would go to!  Yeah right, you can blow me!!

In light of the further deterioration of global economic conditions (a.k.a. attendance to Wpr outings), Wyman Pond Racing announced steps to manage costs, including the reduction of head count-related expenses, vendors and contingent staff, facilities, capital expenditures and marketing. As part of this plan, Wyman Pond Racing will eliminate 40 full time members today. These 40 members will join # 4 as internet only members.

Due to the volatility of market conditions going forward, Wyman Pond Racing is no longer able to offer membership for the balance of this fiscal year (June 2010).
