I remember waiting for someone to race with after 2 maybe 3 laps.  The Polaris was strong that night.  I'd like to thank God, my head mechanic for making the correct adjustments and of course the owner.  A total team effort.

Was this the year there was lightning at the start of the race??  Hahahaha!!

I know I DNF'd that year b/c I remember watching the end of the race from the pits.  Those were the dark days of #5 Racing b/c I was on the Lame Cat type of snowmobile.

the year was 2003, there was no lemans start, qualifying determined gate pick, the track was clockwise, i knocked over a cone after taking the bars to my thigh on lap 7.

Ahhhhhh... the memories.

Yes, I do believe there was a Lemans style start at this race in that it may have been the only race the Pres let me enter?

No, I did not hit 2's kill switch.  He and his Yamaha were just slower than the polaris .  And why not?  Look at his ride.  It sure seems dated.
