Non owner #388 here. I do have a small mig welder that may help out your situation. Since it would not show, my "bird turd" weld may be good enough to hold. I suggest trying it out on #3's new sled first, if it doesn't hold, it's always best to get the 1st scratchs out early!

On a serious note, I do own a 20' open trailer with dual axles, 10,000gvw, electric brakes if one needs to haul cow manure to California.

Hahaha! This is the best post in a long time! The level of sarcasm that permeates this discussion shows the clear expertise of the bloggers.

Just as the so-called "proof" that I was standing at the ordering counter of a McDonald's restaurant was the obvious work of an amatuer with a free version of photoshop adding the chain's logo on the cow's hat standing behind the register ready to take my alleged McFat order - the sabatuer strikes again with an undocumented annonymous post from goodness knows where.

I think #'s 4 and 13 and any other non-owner members should be barred from any further posts on this topic. If any work needs to be done on the trailer just drop it in my driveway because I like to work on the ground on a trailer that I haven't used for a snowmobile in two years.

I think #18 meant to type that he did not borrow the tie downs with the trailer. I would bet they are in the shed at #10's. A word to the wise, apply lots of grease to the threads before attempting to screw them in. By the way, the left rear nut bar (that the tie down threads into) broke the weld last season. Does anyone have/know how to weld to re-attach? That spot is not useful since the skis cannot be secured.

There were no back room deals as an ad was taken out in the local paper as per the club ordinances and a period for countering views was observed. There were no takers so the trailer was lent out. A voluntary donation may be made to the club in the form of attending a nearby club meeting at some point and if pickled hot dogs are available a round may be purchased for the attending members.

It is possible that I have become the unwitting pawn in an elaborate scheme but I given my prominent publicly elected status I have immunity just like the guy in Lethal Weapon.

#5. Do you happen to have any idea where the tie-downs are? They are not on the trailer at this time. If I remember correctly, it came with four? MAybe Paul has them?

My friend (who is doing the cement delivery to Montana) just told his buddy (Bob) that he could use the trailer the weekend of January 3rd to move a 75 year old oak tree from Bristol, RI to Buffalo, NY. I mention this only because he wants you guys to make sure the trailer lights will be fully operational. He doesn't want any bull**** problems with it as it will be an oversized load to begin with. Bob asked that the springs be checked because he will be running a load of cord wood back from Buffalo that he got a great deal on ( 14 cord for $100). Bob said he will need to build detachable sides so he can get it back in one load. I'm just giving some advance warning to make sure those springs and lights are good to go for 1/3/10.

Whatever happens to Bingo Madoff #5 I hope this does not effect the Montana cement delivery my friend is going on. Like I said he wants to buy a sled someday and possibly join the club but he has some bills to pay first.

It is ironic that 5, champion of big Government, has two sets of rules. One set is laid out in plain English for us contributers, the sheep of the membership that does not hold any of the club's prestigious titles. The other set is for those that perform the closed door deals. These deals are often sealed with a secret hand shake or a subtle wink in order to suit "The man's" needs. Shame on us for not paying closer attention. Is it too late to warn the voters of the regional district that they have a corrupt school board member? I too want a full investigation. Is it true that the other half of this deal involved an introduction? Quid pro quo.

Give a man a little power and he will fight his character not to abuse it. For some, it is more difficult than others.

In my non-member's opinion, #18's use of the trailer could not be used for a more worthwhile venture. I applaud #4 (owns 3 spots on the trailer), #5 (one spot), #3 (one spot), #10 (one spot) and #99 (one spot) for donating their trailer to the most wonderful cause ever dreamed up.

Unfortunately, I believe I just discovered the world's first Trailer Ponzi scheme. Sad, but true. #5 isn't looking at jail time, but he'll be facing some severe "field justice" with the other shareholders.

Any friend of yours is a friend of ours...

If he needs a trailer for the quick ride to our neighboring state of Montana, I say go ahead. Tell him not to bother with greasing the hubs. Puddles provide the necessary cooling of the bearings.

With your friend being plunked with multiple DUI's, I believe he just needs to practice more. When you fall off the wagon, you need to get right back on.

Sorry, let me clarify I'm not going to Montana but my friend is (who wants to buy a sled someday) and he will be leaving with the trailer when he gets his license back (multiple DUI) next week and he hopes to be back sometime in December of 09.

I need the trailer to haul seventeen tons of cement to the Loaves and Fishes Foundation in Billings, Montana. I should have the trailer back with hubs re-greased before December. I hope this will not cause a problem.

#4, I believe a full investigation is in order. #5 clearly mislead us with his "I honestly have a hard time remembering myself" comment regarding rules around non owner usage. I could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure the rule posted by the Pez below is #5 talking. Clear violation of our honesty and integrity policy. Please investigate.

I thank you for your generosity and the use of your trailer. It was the essential vehicle to carry a load of landscaping timbers to complete a Make-A-Wish project at JR Briggs School in Ashburnham. I'm sure this can pass your rule, for it was not used by a non-member, it was used as a charitable donation by member #5, mearly driven by a non-member (technicallity, I'm sure).

You might have to let #10's wife review and tighten up this contract.

ps here is your Rule:

#10 and I determined that as a first rule of the trailer, it is in everyone who wants in best interest that only owners of the trailer are allowed to use the trailer. Lending the trailer out to non-owners will not be allowed. No exceptions. Any member can buy into ownership upon review and approval of the current owners. Who are by the way, as of this writing #3, #5, #10, #99.

The only rule I remember is not letting freeloading members use it.

#7's check has been received (but not yet cleared) in accounts receiveable here at the main office.

Storage of the trailer would be considered to have intrinsic value.

We'll see who shows up when it comes time to replace those deck boards.

I have purchased replacement side marker lights, only need a few minutes with the trailer to install.

I haven't seen it since the spring dirt ride. I miss it.
