South Coast Gaspe Lodging

I emailed my friend who has left from maine before.  We would obviously need three registrations:

Hi Craig,
Yes we have started in Maine before.
You can stay in Caribou at the Caribou motor inn and leave from there or you can go to Fort Kent. Caribou is better.
You will need Maine sticker as well as New Brunswick sticker. You leave Caribou and go through New Brunswick to get to Gaspe. I think you come out in Port LaCroix if i remeber correctly. It is great riding that way but more of an investment in trail permits.
What are you driving for a sled?

I found that the town of Campbellton is in New Brunswick. Hotels in that town are NOT a feasible starting point.

Carleton is the closest place to start from. There are a few hotels and small cabin resort as well.

If we really want to start on the South Coast, this is the first town.

Anyone have any thoughts?
