I like to sing in front of my kids when in the car. I like to show them how hip I can be by knowing the words to a song on the radio. I am deadly on the 80's XM station. But more often then not. I do mumble quite a bit. My speciality is the chorus. I am still fooling them. We also play a lot of Name That Tune at which I am deadly. Based on their reaction, that game show could make a comeback.
I'm free all of those nights. I'm so confused with everyone's night's availablity. Please decide.
Quick question for #5. Are you one of those carrollers who's obnoxiously loud when he remembers the words and mumbles quietly when he doesn't know them? If not, try it. It's awsome.
#99, this thread is for members who actually attend the annual trip (is it 4 years you've missed in a row, I've lost track) I realize you like to wait until the night before departure to cancel out but why don't you save yourself the aggravation and make the announcement now. I'm in Chicago the 17th-18th, but there is a great little bar right on Rush Street I propose for the meeting. Maybe we can scout out Michigan's UP or Wisconsin for future trips while we're in the neighborhood??
I'm free the 19th as well and propose the hockey bar..
#7's post is priceless "how about Massachusetts..." hilarious!
I like going to new places too, but we ought to pick a spot that is most central to attending members. The Pres' house has always been somewhat of a central location so therefore the 5-10 mile rule. As noted, this is why traditionally those were always the best attended meetings. Based on the usual suspects that make the trips we now have members in: Leominster, Easton, Princeton, Townshend, Brookline NH, Hubbardston, Bolton. Pull out a map, Leom/Fitch is pretty central.
I have no kids the night of the 19th and no other plans. That just means I am open to do whatever I want on that date. The 18th I have a Pack Meeting. Yes, scarfs and badges and socks and all. We are collecting toys for the Marines Toys for Tots program. I am carrolling at a nursing home the next day but will be free for the night.
Not sure what #99 is talking about, the Mountain Barn is not far away at all... Doesn't he travel all over the world? Hahaha.

Nashua is a good 20 mins from my house, as is the Townsend house tavern. we have traveled to hudson, ma where they had over 100 beers on tap as well this year. Oh that's right, you didn't come to that meeting either
#7, I have no problem going anywhere. Was just throwing out an idea for somewhere we haven't been yet. Any other ideas? Don't want to go to the Mt Barn. Too far away.
Agree, I feel bad that I missed the last meeting, but want to attend the next and talk specifically about trip planning for the trip the week of January 25th. I have taken the time off and scheduled some business travel around that date so hopefully we are locked and loaded.
For the next meeting date, Sat nights are tough. Much prefer Thursday nights if possible!!!
How about the 17th? How about Peddlers Daughter in Nashua. Good Irish Pub, live music after 9 on Thursdays, and room to spread out.
