Here is the response from the Motel Restigouche. I suggest we make a decision on cancelling this reservation by early next week. He has treated us fairly and I would like to do the same to him.
Doug:
They can even tell the weather here a day in advance, so you can't count on those reports for your trip. Keep watching the daily forecast for the Gaspe is your best bet.
There is no problem cancelling your room with us, and there are no charges unless you didn't show and didn't cancel then you'd be charged for the rooms.
Take care,
Pete Dube

I have reserved 3 rooms on January 24th and 3 rooms again on Jan 28th at Motel Restigouche for snowmobiling, yet the snowmobile trail report shows that only half of the Gaspe region is currently open for snowmobiling. The 10 day forecast for Chandler and Perce show very little snow.
Do you have a cancellation policy and what are the terms? I am reasonably certain that we are coming, but would like to know your policy.
By clusterfukk, I mean reserving rooms and then calling up and telling the proprieter that I might be cancelling, but I still don't know yet. So please charge me as little as possible if and when I come to a decision which in fact may or may not be final.
I consider this specific situation described above a clusterfukk.
This is in no way a reflection on any individual but my personal feelings at this particular moment.
I have inquired about the cancellation policy at Motel Restigouche in Matapedia. I cc'd #2 and #5 on the email.
Right now we have reserved 3 rooms for Jan 24th and 3 rooms for Jan 28th.
When I made the reservation, he said he would be charging us for one of the nights if we cancelled on short notice. I will let you know the outcome of this clusterfukk.
Are there any other reservations out there? Has anyone inquired about availabilities on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday?
