There are lots of reports that the St. Zenon area is very good right now out on HCS. Someone posted a photo ride report that includes that Hydro dam that we went over a few years back (wasn't that right before #3 crashed) Unless the dates change I'm out but wanted to share given everyones flexibility.
ps Think I saw #4 holding a Coakley banner in one hand and a bag of Munchkins in the other at the corner of 119 and 13 this morning. What a big fat loser
I am around pretty much all weekend except Sunday night. I could stop in Friday evening at #2's house and lend a hand studding for a bit (will kids be around to visit?). Or Saturday night if local. Or Monday or Tuesday again if local.
I am open to changing the trip in any way: 1. moving the trip to anywhere in Quebec where this is snow. 2. moving the dates of the trip later in the winter to wait for snow. 3. shortening the trip if we don't have 4 days of trails to ride.
I have heard someone say the Mt. Valins area has snow and has been suggested again. I remember #2 suggesting renting the Passion house and doing loops from there. That might be fun to plan and cook meals together and bring our own beers. I have supplied the cards. It could save $$. But I would still suggest we not drive the whole way there. Base out of Hotel Safari, ride up through La Tuque, stay in Jonquiere HI one night, then Passion, then return maybe?
Is there snow in the St. Zenon area? We haven't ridden too much over there. How about the Roberville area? We could still shorten our drive and ride to there also.
#7, maybe we could ask Seguenay Bill what he recommends for riding since he's up there now?
So I'm pretty flexible at this point. I am looking forward to going, just not hung up on where or what we do.
I think we need to meet or have some kind of dialogue about next week's trip to discuss:
What each person wants to do about the lack of snow on Gaspe' Whether to cancel the Hotel Reservation in Matapedia? Whether to come up with another destination? What destinations appeal to the 6 individuals? Whether to make other reservations? Do we want to switch whose trucks we are taking?
I suggest Saturday night, Sunday evening, Monday night, or Tuesday night.
I suspect #99 will have trouble attendings since he is headed to Madrid. If someone can get him to post his thoughts, that would help.
