#7, I believe you have the wrong url saved in your favorites. This is Wyman Pond Racing .com, not ESPN.com for "ball and stick" sports fans (talk about boring).
WPR is an organic, friends and family, grass-roots organization established and dedicated to the pursuit, news and goings-on off [all] motorsports (we even tolerate NASCAR-based "news" hahaha! and members remember #66 and The Caveman).
The Prez has reminded us all that WPR was originally founded under dirtbike and quad auspices, but really boomed under the snowmobiling banner and continues to thrive under that banner to this day.
Personally, I feel that the webpage news and conversations should follow the seasons, thereby keeping things relevant and interesting. Even if someone has snowmobile news in July, that's still snowmobile news. I have changed my avatar to reflect this seasonal shift. Hardcore WPR members will continue to ride even though the snow is gone, and will stay active riding and communing together as petrol powered OHRV machines continue to fuel our passion year round.
So we will look the other way when some bored snow-only member throws a post up about college hockey or basketball. Because a truly great man once beckoned us to just all get along. In his honor we look past these momentary lapses of reason (ref?) and find some note-worthy, motor-based entertainment instead.
This isn't really just directed at #7 of course. It's a reminder to all members as we exit snowmobile season and enter the other recreational activities of the New England seasons (but does snowmobiling season ever really end??????...........)
Following will be a new episode of 2-Guy Garage (starring #'s 1776 and 5)
Prez locates new-in-box stator for 2001 Polaris XCSP800 on Ebay.
1776 bids and wins.
Item in shipment, due in [last] Friday, not confirmed.
Waiting to schedule tear down and install. Must do timing as well.
This fix timed just right to maximize the amount of wait time to see if this was the problem. My money will be on 1776 to be fired up to lay the first tracks of the 2010-2011 riding season!
