Dateline: Pumping Station: In a unilateral act, the Pez released #5 from "hill climbing" probation as #5 climbed the largest, trickiest hill in the riding area on the first try with several short onlookers. "The Pres gave me all the encouragement I needed to do this." said #5, "He said you have to make it back up in order to keep riding with us." #5 response was "I miss my 250 on these hills." #5 said his balding rear tire would be no excuse and not stop him from reaching the top given #2 rear tire in same exact condition. Interestingly, #2 Husky made the climb only moments before having overcome apprearant "fuel starvation" issues on this climb many times in past years. Both riders were pleased with their successes.
In a related story, #5 is put on "backing up" probation as he has once again backed into a tree with a trailer in his own yard. #5 again pleaded 'no contest' and claimed it is a conspriacy of #19 for again tricking him into thinking he would direct him while backing up. For the second time in as many seasons #19 claims he said stop before the contact. #5 is hurt and baffled as to why his fellow member would allow him to continue to destroy their riding gear.
The damage suffered was a dented top on the snowmobile trailer. Last time it was the camper. Repairs on both will begin this summer.
#5 announces that he will no longer use #19's back-up assitance services, but instead will contract with #43 who has a known track record of success with backing up to connect the hitch services with #5. "He must have some kind of alignment or spacial relationship dislexia or some f---ing thing." Both parties were upset at the time of the incident.
So #5 will be placed on "backing up" probation until such time when his performance is deemed safe and up to 'WPR standards'. Follow this story closely on WPR.com. Pictures will not follow.
#5 has also shown consistent improvement since his last documented incident but continues to serve his "human rain delay" probation until further notice. That will be some time. Other members interviewed were saddened at his relapse on this front. "He was making such good progress." one member stated. "It was so sad to watch as he slipped back into his old ways - he had come so far. It really was sad to see." another reported.
#5 said he will work hard to earn back what he lost all in one moment of gross miscalculation. He does claim that this was a case of the 'second man always gets caught', but will not hide behind excuses. "The camera tells no lies." he said.
