RE: Ride Report 4/22/2010

Nice post I agree with 7.  But, it is on the wrong side.  Web master, please move it to the dirt side.

What a terrific ride report #7!!  This is one of the best uses of this website.  A forum to write a ride report for an atv ride in Fla with the fam.  Awesome.  It was fun to read how #7 is spreading the fever by getting 3 generations riding in a place they never suspected they were being indocturinated (sp?).

The truest part was when #7 says he doesn't understand kids these days - AMEN!  I would have given my left arm to have a power vehicle when I was a kid.  Now kids decline when asked by the parents.  Crazy.

The ride report included pictures.  A perfect posting.  Well done #7.  I loved it!

Red Arctic Cat 150cc ATV.  Not too much pop, but fun nonetheless.

Place: Daytona Beach, FL
Vehicle: Arctic Cat 150cc ATV
Surface: Firm and soft sand

After filling out the paperwork I was extended 60 minutes of riding time, I picked up #7 Jr. for some beach riding. We went about 6 miles down the beach along the driving path.  I was told the speed limit is 10mph so I was soon going 23 mph (governed full speed).  I decided that this was the time to let #7 Jr. take the reigns. The kid is a natural.  He loved it.  I just sat on the back of the machine and watched with pride.

I asked him if he wanted one and he said "no thanks". I don't understand kids today.

Next up was  my 74 year old mother.  Her ride was short but she was game.

After that was my daughter. I let her drive and some guy from the rental place that was watching went ickyballukie on us. He threatened a $500 fine and taking the key away on the spot. I assured him that I would do the driving from then on.

In my defense, when I asked what the rules were they told me the speed limit, only one passenger allowed and to stay out of the water and on the path.

Whatta dick. Every company has one. A guy who thinks he is way too important.

I rode for an hour and it was kind of fun.

9 miles.
