I am going to start a petition to make pwc legal everywhere in the world with no exceptions!! I'm going to start by asking all the Harley riders with ridiculous aftermarket exhausts to sign first. Then I'm going to ask all small plane owners that fly 1,000 feet over my house so I can't hear the person standing next to me.
It's so true, those with the dinero make the rules. Mitt would allow jet skis everywhere, he is a true libertarian.
for the trailer: - two new high speed tires with tubes - registration - lens for tail light - (longer) safety chains
for the water: - two new life vests - competition tow rope - single place tube
The girl at the boat store said the 750 was not a very big engine and would not tow a tube very fast. If it turns out to be a dud, we would like to make a donation to the HQ, maybe the SSV-171 will be able to tow it fast.
I will say one thing, being around all that water skiing stuff sure caused a stir in my heart. It made me a little bit sad that I am not teaching my boys the sport that I grew up on. I think #3 is on the good path. But first I need to have the place on the water!
Oh well, at least the jet ski is a start in the right direction.
Not much interesting to read about yet. The right trailer tire needs a tube and left light needs to be replaced. I almost have all the old reg numbers off the hull, I have the new reg and have the new numbers ready to go on. It has run in the driveway with the garden hose attached. It has been cleaned, gas and oil topped up, battery fully charged and is ready to ride as far as I can tell.
I am still trying to figure out how to get a plate for the trailer as it has absolutely no manfacturers tag, no VIN, no nothing. Insurance says to get a copy of the sellers reg and they can do it from that. Mass is such a PITA. They hate the residents of this state trying to do the right thing.
As far as a ride report at this point #19 has sat on it and says it feels good. The pic is a 92 I believe and this one is a 93 so the graphics are just a bit different. But it is still circa early 90's so there is lots of purple and pink with some lime green thrown in. It's pretty garrish. There are lots of chips in the gel coat but it is 100% complete except for one missing "floor mat". The others need to be re-glued as well they are all loose as is the rear deck floor mat. But mechanically he only used SeaDoo synthetic oil and explained very thorough maintenance he always did. It starts right up and purrs. I hope it will corner good and have reasonable recovery when it takes air.
I am told it has a top speed of 26-28mph. There is a loop on the back for towing a tube or something.
Will anyone be up at the HQ anytime soon where we can drop it in and give it a rip?
