RE: Frozen H2O in the yard

I started up the sled yesterday. It took 5 pulls. It never stalled and it wasn't even rough for a moment.  Gotta say an ear to ear smile soon followed.

The junk that fell out of the sky last night is just a taste of what's sure to be a great season. I know it.

I got some information pamphlets in the mail from Gaspe'. It's cool to see pictures of hotels that we have stayed at and all the places we've ridden.

I even made it all the way through that poem. Not much of a poem guy, but when the subject is snow, why not?

It has accumulated on the property.  Sleet.  Sparkling like diamonds in the rough.  I said to members 19 and 43 - we will be riding on that soon.  They are especially fired up this year to ride and ski.

Their training is almost complete.

Why does snow make me so happy.  I offer a poem.

Multi-faceted
Crystaline structure
Simple geometery
Two dimensional
Tiny, frail

But put two together and something happens
They interlock
Strength grows exponentially
Offering more than the sum of their parts separately
True synergy

Mother Earth sets the stage
Some of the seventy-five percent rebel
Embracing the cold
They turn, same, yet different than the rest
Proudly they blanket

It makes an annual apprearance
Then retreats to the poles
Homebase, with base miles deep
You can visit on moutain tops
Where the world below takes refuge

Just like the ocean calls us
Just like the rain replenishes us
We are also made of the stuff
No wonder we are attracted
It is within us when conditions are right

Ya, I'm psyched.
