RE: "Greatest trailer in the world" update and nomination for next years trip

#13, sounds like a nice option to consider.

Cons:  I missed the language barrier and clubs.

What a fantastic trailer weld update.  It was super interesting.  Can you send us some photos of those hinges?  How about some before the weld and after the weld photos? We would all love to see them.  Let us know next time you tighten a screw and be sure to say if it's a phillips head or a flat head.  It sounds like you and Tom had a great couple of hours together.   What else did Tom share with you?  #7 are kidding me?  This is exactly why I keep throwing him out of the club.  #13 is not like us; he is like Tom. Tom likes to stay at the Blue Bed?  Next thing you know #13 will be bunking up with Tom sharing more than his photos. Gross! Trailer news = trailer trash.

I like your thinking. I've said this a few times before, It's hard to vote against Gaspe' in any year.

Getting someone to work on your trailer for free is a proof of your subtle powers of persuasion.

I don't understand why #4 keeps kicking you out of the club.

Maine Pros-Cheapest trip ever, Excellent terrain, Nice cabins, Sled Head Red right next door, gas available on the complex.  Grooming was fantastic. Views were impressive. Pool table and hot tub. #10's Lasagna. Got my own bedroom. Parking was safe. No exchange rates. Hardly any language barrier. Plenty of snow. Easy drive to get there.

Cons: 4 guys, one crapper, 4 guys, one shower.  Pork Pie dinner and next day fallout. Hot tub wasn't hot enough. Riding home on the same trails a couple times. Already been there.

I just don't want 2012 to be year without a trip.

Hi,

Drove up to lovely Milton NH on Tuesday where my trailer was manufactured.  The owner (my new bff Tom) had committed to a one day free fix after I explained my issue with the ramp.  Turns out in the early models of my trailer they didn't weld both sides of the hinge resulting in multiple failures.  I ignored the fact that if it was a known issue I should have received a call no  Anyway, 2 hours later my trailer was all fixed with new and improved hinges (apparently fully welded this time)!!  While waiting Tom shared his Gaspe sledding stories with me (he had pictures all over his office).  He's done Gaspe 5 times and highly recommends leaving from Houlton ME, buying a one day pass in New Brunswick and blasting thru that province.  Then heading counter clockwise around the Gaspe cutting down one of the inland trails.  His favorite place to stay is the Blue Bed which is southwest of  Chandler.  Says its the nicest place he has ever stayed on sled.  Food for thought, although we may be stuck in Maine forever after hearing how good Maine was this year.. -13
