Just put the sled away after 50 miles and we are in the heart of the storm.Very heavy snow winds still 30+ MPH camp is a rocking, still 17 degrees.Nearing 4 inches new snow. Trails where they were already good last weekend remain very good.Grooming before the storm helped some woods SDR trails improve but not enough snow to fill in some whoop de doos and run bys. However groomer out today probably to the Balsams and I picked up the groomed trail coming up the east side of Sugar hill much improved from condition last weekend. While 18 A and 134 in wooded spots still with significant whoop de doos and run bys.Trails are groomed but need more snow(they are getting it) and if the trails get goomed tomorrow after new snow expect improved conditions.Trails to whipple ridge and PRR excellent on all wood logging roads.Trails this weekend with an already base will be very good.Storm is turning out to be a good one.Could be a number more inches before all is done
It looks like we should be able to head north pretty soon. This map is showing COTE' NORD has having a lot of snow right now.
Would anyone consider a weekend day ride up to Nash Stream in the not to distant future? I am having a difficult time getting time off due to short staffing at work.
