So the Magnum 160 first splashed the waters of Wymans in 1979. That's nineteen-seventy-nine! The Seventies!!! Being tied up next to a dock for 28 years does not make it the record holder - I stipulated OPERATING hours. I would say the Mag160 saw engine run time virtually every day of each summer (not including the days that it was underwater as the Pres rightly points out) and well into most every night also.
The seats saw so much arse that they wore out, needing to be replaced with park benches. The boat pulled so many water skiers and knee boarders that it practically pulled the back off the boat. Remember the cracks?
And, I would like to note the Mag160 departed the lake in perfectly running order - it did not die. It was killed however, the new owner separating the 1976 Evinrude from its perch to serve faithfully another hull. I don't know what ever came of the Mag160 itself.
Your reign as acting Pez is coming to a close. This would be a good time to enact your executive privilege and hand out "pardons" to anyone wrongly enprisoned. OJ? He could make Naked Gun 3.5. How about Charles Manson if he promises to only kill bad actresses, like Julia Roberts? How about Rod Blagojevich? All he did was try to sell Obama's senatorial seat. How bad is that? Can you really blame a guy for trying to earn a living? It was so sad when Don Trump fired him.
Please consider these #7 favorites as they all have compelling cases.
Great job as acting Pez.

Freeloading is not a crime, but it should be. Swift and immediate action needs to be taken. There is no way that the magnum 160 had more time on Wyman Lake than the ssv. Magnum 160 died around the same time as Jerry Garcia. #5 thinks recent years don't count. 1982-2011 is the indisputable lifeline of a great W.P.R. Vessel that outlasted them all.
that is a fabulous week in charge! I love the agenda. It sounds like you have been taking notes from the incumbent's typical bag of tricks. Free ice cream for everyone just before the election. some real nostalgic references in there.
I must say I do feel slighted that the Magnum 160 gets no shout out at all. It is, I maintain, still the undisputed record holder for maximum operating hours on the waters of our lovely pond. Prove me wrong.
It's a full week and I'm happy too say we will be back to basics. . On June 15th #13 will be thrown out of the club! On the 16th look for an update from one guy garage and the 440 project. The 17th Paul Tranque will be giving a deep dive seminar in Grassy cove. The 18th we will re trace the steps of the ill-fated Galstron tri hull as it blasted out of the church camp cove on it's final voyage. On the 19th I will be looking too sell my share in the club trailer for 50% less than my original investment. The 20th we will be using Mrs. Dikes new Glastron to try and break the Boston Whalers multiple water skier record. On the 21st there will be the club lobster bake to be held on Vincents pontoon boat. On 22nd we will start the day with a sand fight at Point of Pines followed by the rigging of three envinrude 6 horse power motors on the back of the Mirro craft for a speed run.
