Question 1: 8
Question 2: 4
The story of Jack showing up and seeing the Larson with all those bodies in the water ready to go comes up every year at #6 mountain-camping party.
I'd say my father, in that situation, would have been a little more reactive than "G... get the boat home".
We laugh now, but that Larson lived a disappointingly short life.
#7
Will ride anytime...
The record was attempted behind several boats, what was the boat that pulled the 7?
Two bonus questions:
1. How many skiers were being attempted behind the Larson before being aborted by Mr. #8?
2. What was the maximum # of skiers that were ever successfully pulled behind the Magnum 160?
#5, "The Critic", Treasurer, 2016 WPROTY
Is this a waterskiing story or a fish story?
15 skiers, 14 in the boat. 90 horse but only 3 of four cylinders on 89 octange. Oh yeah, it was a sunny day. About 2:30 in the afternoon.
I remember 14 skiers being pulled.
#4
Danny Nason. We started with 10 and weren't successful until we whittled the group down to 7 on this great day in WPR history.
Does anyone disagree with my recollection of the seven? Does anyone remember it differently?
The Sullivans lived next to Bingo. His name was Dan, but not Sullivan.
7, I can see how the Sullivan name would be familiar to you after experiencing Lime Rock. There was a well known race driver for the Indy cars named Danny Sullivan.
#7 Danny Sullivan is not the Neeb. I remember the Neeb and his tin can of a boat.
The Neeb.
Who is Danny?
