RE: 2nd meeting

I also want to state that the roads to this destination claimed my trailer last time.  I will be going nice and slow this time.

#10, not sure if you've heard the logic here, the idea is Forks is close enough that we get the cabin for X number of days and people come and go as they can make it.  I like this idea.

It was good riding.  My goal would be to head east right off the bat this time (of course trail conditions permitting).  Last trip we didn't do any marathon days which is fine, but if we're ever going to make Baxter State Park, it will require an old school hard core day of riding.

Can't wait to taste the Sled Head Red again!!!!!  Worth the trip alone.

Yes I remember Rangley too.    #5 & I have another story to remember those cabin's by.  LOL

Bumpy and slow going in and out as I recall also.

Liking the Forks idea, however unsure yet if I will be able to attend - HOPE SO!!!!

We stayed a night at the Rangely Inn back in 2002. There was a nice pizza place across the street with authentic oven baked pizza. I burned the roof of my mouth so bad that night, I'll never forget it.

Also memorable was the amount of bumps on the trails in the area, oh and the Arctic Cat ZLs running out of gas. I remember waiting with #13 and #3 for the others to bring back gas as the sun went down. We froze our bahukees off. We also ran into Mike and the Caveman that weekend.

Someone dig out the pictures.

Glad to hear there's talk about the Forks again. Good place, great riding, light traffic and not that far to drive.

If someone provides the dates, I'll schedule some vacation.

I'm registering my trailer this week. My truck and trailer will be available for the trip if needed.

I started my sled this weekend and it sounded great.

I'll bring it in to the shop for a once over and some new slides. I seem to be going through those rails every 1K miles.

The Forks is also a brewery, we can belly up to the bar for some Sled Head Red or some Deer in the Head Light. Pretty good stuff.

Chris Higgins recommended Rangley as well...about the same distance...more snow usually?

Looks like some great cabin/house deals

Here is a search I did using dates from the end of Feb as an example...

Friday nights are still best for me.  (Saturdays could work too).  Mondays are right out! (a la Monty Python)

Nights are downright cold now.  Although the paddle on the lake last meeting was just what the doctor ordered.

We are in Nov now - any Friday but the 9th works so far.

Warren Miller at Hanover on the 17th, other than that Saturdays ok too.

It is no surprise I am revved up to go this year.  Feel like I haven't ridden in two years!! - oh right, that cuz I haven't.

blah

If you throw out a date I will try and make it work.  Maybe a Saturday night?

There has not been a second meeting. You have not missed a thing. Do you have any suggestions for a date. #4 would like to have it at his barn. Wednesdays and Thursdays are tough for me.

#4, the barn sounds great. #13 buying the Chinese food sounds even better.

#4, can you please provide the Pez with some protective hockey equipment for the meeting since he keeps getting injured at these things.

In review of the Sept meeting, it appears we should meet in Oct to go over some unfinished business.  Any ideas?

I would like to stay on track.
