The two trucks met at the usual spot in Brookline before heading North. at 5:20 am we departed for NH snowmobiler's paradise. A quick stop to feed 1 and 2 at the diner in Laconia. Apparently, this is a new ritual for the family when traveling this path. We made god time and landed at the lodge well before noon. We quickly unloaded all five sleds, got dressed and headed out for what would be the first of thee 100 mile days. 2 brought an extra sled for my family to share. It ran well. The only compliant was an escued steering set up that may have effected the very stiff throttle. The trails were very good. One trail was beat from the weekend. The rest were well maintained. This was the coldest of the three days. We landed back to check in at dusk. and began to make dinner plans. At 7, a knock on the door for a request for help. 2 offered and in no time was suited up and back on his sled. Heading out into a very cold evening to a point unknown, lead by a 13 year old boy. The rest of us traveled into town to procure dinner from Young's. We returned and waited for 2. 45 minutes later he arrived to a warm bowl of soup prepared by 1. Could the distressed family have ask for a better savior?
