RE: hydro update

Purchased inserts for the heads.  Plugs are not longer an issue.  The NGK 10 plugs are now collectors items.  Thinking of mounting them on the wall.  Anyone have any ideas?

I wish it was that easy.  The plug we are looking for is a "10."  It can not have any letters after it.  The ones on ebay are too small.

Keep searching

It is interesting you mention Plugs.  Apparently they do not make them anymore.  The "NGK 10" is no longer in production and is very difficult to source.  We only have the two in the motor currently.  Anyone have or know where there is a couple we can purchase?

Testing has been hampered by social schedules this past weekend.

The boat was run.  Adjusts to the fuel / air mixture was slightly adjusted "two" clicks towards lean.  An increase of speed was the result.  We have now pushed over the 65 mph mark and are at 66mph.  You may have heard rumors that our first test run with this boat yielded 61mph.  This is an impressive increase.  Adjustments to motor position are also responsible for some of this improvement.

A short discussion about modifying the fuel oil mixture was kicked around.  Presently at 28 : 1, we are going to try 32 : 1 on the next two gallon batch.  It turns out that a high percentage of the competition is running at 32 : 1.

This weeks maintenance check list is short.  a larger bow hook is to be installed, the wood needs some attention on the right sponson and a very holes need to be filled for cosmetic reasons.
