Swift Diamond Riders update as of 1/5/2015. I believe they have received a small amount of snow since this report and more coming Friday and Saturday.

Calendars, appointments, etc....were meant to be RE-ARRANGED FOR SNOWMOBILING. Says so in the WPR handbook, ok, I made that up, but it should!

Looks like this is where we will park the truck.

Trail Reports are listed as often as we can.

Trails are in good to excellent condition overall. We will be out grooming daily and in hopes to start grooming Friday and Saturday nights starting this weekend. Please watch for fallen limbs and trees due to the recent high winds. Please ride carefully!!!!

Here is an update from the Pittsburg Ridge Runners site:

I pick up my sled on Saturday. I could be convinced to ride Sunday, perhaps with someone itching to ride a brand new sled.....

The Warming Hut will be opening on Saturday, January 10th.

Sue & Bob Gaudette will be serving up the best hot dogs north of Fenway Park, delicious soups & more, and dishing out their wonderful North Country hospitality. The NH Department of Resources and Economic Development, Division of Parks and Recreation are host of The Warming Hut.

Trail Report Friday January 2, 2014

The current temperature is 14 degrees and snowing lightly. We remain approximately 70% open and are grooming on the northern part of our trailsystem. We received 2 inches of snow overnight which helped with lubrication and to make everything look white again. Trails to the north are fair to good with some icy and occational bare spots and will have the best riding, the southern trails which remain open are only open for convenience, if you choose to ride them expect poor conditions. We strongly recomend trailering north. Suggested trail access would be to use Magalloway rd. or East Inlet rd. For a detailed list of closed trails check the trail by trail report below. Please watch for any early season riding hazards including water bars, bare spots, rocks etc. The lakes are NOT safe PLEASE STAY OFF OF THEM. Trail 140 from Carr ridge bridge to jct 1921 will remain closed till we receive more snow, trail 137 from jct. 3130 to 3092 is closed due to logging, trail 143 from Magalloway rd jct. 1776 to jct 533 will remain closed due to logging, The section of trail 139 along first lake lakeshore will remain closed till we receive more snow, and trail 112 from jct. 2226 to jct 2440 on trail 136 will remain closed due to logging. Trail 20 south through town and to vermont is Closed.
