Watch some racing in Taunton yesterday. Great action. Side by side racing. Very exciting. The younger classes are going. There might have been 12 drivers under the age of 18.
We witnessed a 2nd and a 4th for 229A in the McCorty. Well done.
Racing news. During one of the last races of the day on sunday, our boat ran over the top of a boat that had just flipped over backwards and landed in its path. Driver X was taken to the hospital and is now recovering. We all know, but sometimes do not like to admit that driving at this high level comes with risks. The race chairman is quoted as saying that our driver was not at fault. In this circumstance, their was nothing he could do.
Our Hydro is now in Farmington Maine having a sponson put back on after being ripped off in the collision in PA. Will the boat be repaired in time for Taunton?
The 229A race team is hoping that the hit driver is recovering nicely.
