hehe! Another shining example of the superior diplomatic skills that makes him the Pez. an "unordinary" way. that's the socially softened down way to say "dumbass" way. I love it! But I have also heard the term used many times when the action is misunderstood, as in, the little mutant in Schwarzenegger's Total Recall movie.
Great stream of consciousnesses #7, you know I like those personal inflections. we all feel that way inside, some of us are confident enough to bare a little of our soul and share.
We will be out before the Jackman trip, I have little doubt.
It was fun to talk snowmobiling again and hammering out some preliminary plans for February. Hopefully we can bang out some day trips to Nash Stream before the Jackman weekend.
I think about those trips in years past...alot.
The shenanagains in Shawinagin, The view of the Perce' rock, getting stranded at the Casino, 10 or more of us at the Hotel Quebec and the rain pouring down at Mont Ste Anne.
I'll never forget the last morning on Gaspe (the second trip) when #3 pointed at the flag pole to get me to acknowledge the severe weather and 60+ mph winds. I guess we had our hands full that day. That's the only time wind blew actually blew me off the trail. Good save that day #2 and #3.
I always think about the mornings when we are getting ready for a big day on sleds....what is going to happen today?, this is going to be awesome-I hope, can this group hit the curveballs when thrown our way.
Any day on a snowmobile a good one in the book of #7.
We'll keep the call to order officially at 8pm, but if folks want to arrive early, the bar will be open. #43 hockey practice cancelled so I plan on arriving before 8 as well. I will arrive in the same time window as #7.
There are two appropriate meeting places, upstairs by the pool table or down in the tavern side. Look both places for members. If folks want to eat, they do serve dinners in the bar.
I had thought about WaWa but two reasons prevented that selection in my mind.
1. I am, and will be up there a lot in the coming months, and
2. I figured being surrounded by all the ski environs, a rival to the interests of some members, was not appropriate or conducive to positive snowmobile vibes
One excellent thing about this meeting is some members have taken action and we already have a trip booked with four confirmed members! Will others join?
From the looks of things we have #5, #7, #3 and #2 certain to attend this meeting.
Has anyone heard from #10, #388, #4 and #13?
In WPR's hey day 2002-2009, these members brought this club to the next level.
I implore everyone who reads this post to encourage these members to attend this meeting Nov 5th at the Mountain Barn-Princeton. If you are worried about pouring too much beer down your throat....Don't. Jump in #3's roomy family SUV. The #7 mobile could swing by and pick you up.
Don't have the time? Make some time.

#7 has nailed it. Mtn Barn it is. It fits all the requirements and is conveniently located to minimize #5 lateness. Pool table, Budweiser products, mountain feel, local proprietor, family employee discount account. It is towards the south of wpr region for a shorter ride home for #7.
I hope everyone is satisfied with this selection. I believe the last mtg here Sprout was in attendance (back when he was Sprout). I was hard on him for owning a BMW SUV and I still feel bad about it to this day.
Old Mill? Mountain Barn? McNalley's? Williams? Mt Wachusett Ski Area? Great Wolf? Chopsticks? #5's basement? #2's basement? My basement? Something near #10's new place? Break and enter somewhere?
I can't think of any other places, since I live there only a few weekends per year.
I have questions that members can answer to have input to the meeting location: Bring them on.
1. should the music not be loud enough that speaking to other members is too difficult? The point of our meetings is to communicate with each other. I am not interested in seeing the Pes's ears bleed.
2. do we need a proper table to lay out maps and brochures? A table is a plus. It gives number 4 a place to stack his empties.
3. must the beer selection be extensive or is #3's and #7's standard Bud Lite and Bud, respectively, will suffice? Only fine establishments offer the Budweiser family of beers. Look for anyone of those signs and be confident you made the right choice of venue.
4. should there be billiards tables and/or dart boards? Interesting. This is always a plus. Should we bring our on darts?
5. should the meeting start time consider #7's drive time from downtown, or it is the standard 8pm call to order? No matter what time you pick, #7 will arrive long before #5. FACT!
6. would it be better if the location has a distinctively winter feel to it? Yes. Although those that show will not need the winter stimulus. We have it. Thats why we attend these meetings.
7. is handicap accessible parking a requirement for any members this year? This might be a plus. The Pes has claimed to have been injured at these events in the past. He is slow to heal. Maybe be better for the next meeting depending?
8. does the window next to us need to face north so we can check early season conditions? This wouldn't hurt.
9. shall I book a private room so the club can discuss private matters such as who will be expelled from the club this season or who is in the lead for 2016 WPROTY? Not if it costs extra.... See #7s response to this question.
10. require good cell reception so #5 can call/text for directions when he arrives late? No. cell reception needed.
11. (bonus question) Will #5 be the only member not riding Ski Doo in this club, or will he be kicked out because he doesn't? Unfortunately yes.

2. do we need a proper table to lay out maps and brochures? YES
3. must the beer selection be extensive or is #3's and #7's standard Bud Lite and Bud, respectively, will suffice? MUST HAVE BEER-no other requirements
4. should there be billiards tables and/or dart boards? Not necessary, but a plus
5. should the meeting start time consider #7's drive time from downtown, or it is the standard 8pm call to order? I CAN GET THERE BY 7:30PM.
6. would it be better if the location has a distinctively winter feel to it? REFER to ANSWER 3
7. is handicap accessible parking a requirement for any members this year? NOPE
8. does the window next to us need to face north so we can check early season conditions? AGAIN, SEE ANSWER 3
9. shall I book a private room so the club can discuss private matters such as who will be expelled from the club this season or who is in the lead for 2016 WPROTY? NO, I'm a cheap bastard
10. require good cell reception so #5 can call/text for directions when he arrives late? If you pick the place, you should know where it is.
11. (bonus question) Will #5 be the only member not riding Ski Doo in this club, or will he be kicked out because he doesn't? We don't kick anyone out. Once you have filled out the WPR application, picked a favorite clockmaker, you are in for life just like the mafia.
So now that #10 is back in the club's area code, we only have one outlier in #7, but he has never complained about driving the distance (not that #10 did).
Yes, I will pick a place for meeting #2. I have no fun atmosphere to provide at my humble abode so I will pick a place where there is more to see and do and eat.

in typical fashion everyone is afraid to pick a day.......so I am going to change the pace
wpr meetings for the 2015/2016 are as follows
10/1 Sauna night (if the offer is still available )
11/5 tbd
12/3 tbd
also, you must attend a meeting to then host a meeting....trying to weed out the fair weather fans

We also trashed all the members who did not attend.
The Pres has already identified the next meeting date. I will host or will pick the next meeting location. If members can't make the 11/5 date, please pipe up in the coming weeks. We can move it to the Friday if that's better for folks. Let's make the attendance grow with each meeting.
Here's to a great upcoming season! What year is it for WPR? We should keep track of this stuff... Who's the secretary in this club? Was it #23? He should be fired. Speaking of which, here's a financial report. Club funds = $0.
