Great pics Pres. You've now got to the perfect system where you can grab images from the helmet cam while riding, capturing any neat cool thing we see. this will open up new and exciting posts and conversations. I love it - our Pres - he's like GE, still innovating!
This was an excellent day. A day of firsts for me. riding a motorcycle on the open road. grab a trail here, connect a rail bed there, dump back on to a road to access a new destination riding area, no stopping. I've never ridden more miles on a motorcycle in a day by anything even close. Amazing. I am still petrified of being involved in an accident by other motorists, but I will ride ultra defensively and see when the first danger happens, as I'm sure it is only a matter of time.
The Pres did a remarkable job of keeping us off public roads. and those were very back roads (as evidenced by the "if you don't like bad smells, funny noises and outdoor sex, don't live near a farm" sign - see post on Oct ride!) so I felt safe and in control and could manage my surroundings.
The KooterDay celebration was just a gift to wrap an awesome day of riding. Seeing friends, hearing great music, and eating good home cooked food, there is no better time spent on this Earth. A perfect tribute to a guy who lived his life that very way. Peace brother, your friends remember you well, and that's a testament to the time well spent with them.
have to say at this point - other members are starting to miss out. This little experiment is starting to look like a very good move. Anyone in this club can do it. We are purposely selecting routes that do not include technical, messy, difficult, and otherwise challenging terrain that could introduce us to undesirable outcomes. Of course there are no guarantees, but we choose direction by committee, and fun is the only goal. so long as we are getting back to the trucks.
