I had the morning to myself so I took a ride and headed west towards alstead and walpole. I figured I'd grab gas in Walpole by Pinnacle tractor and diamond pizza. I love seeing the piles of snow here! Lempster to marlow the trails were well groomed an plenty of snow. I pushed a good pace while hugging the right side with anticipation of seeing more riders due to the weekend.
As I headed further west you could tell the snow was less...still groomed and nice but thinner in a few spots. I found myself on familiar trails that reminiscent of our old night rides out of Fitzwilliam...They are now part of my western riding area.
At one point I realized my speedo wasn't working? Wtf! I pulled over and checked things out and couldn't see anything obvious...hopefully just a bad sensor? I continued onward to get fuel and thought of doing a complete loop through Charlestown, Claremont, newport but decided to back track due to timing issue...I was to have an early Valentines Day surprise and was told to be ready by 1pm.
Heading back with anticipation, I upped the pace and ran into a few larger groups of riders. After passing them, I was back towards marlow with at least a foot more of noticeable snow. I took a few different club trails to change things up and made short work back home. Total miles...60. More snow coming tomorrow and planning on riding all week. Sarge 388
