After a great couple of days with my fellow WPR members last week, I knew I had to get in another ride before the heat gets turned on this week.

I waited until mid morning to leave the homestead, totally expecting icy hard trails and figuring the high rising sun would loosen things up for cooling and lubrication.   Trails were in great shape with plenty of base...I was pleasantly surprised.  Engine temps would ranged from 130 to 185 throughout the day without ice scratchers...still waiting on mounts!  I never had any temperature lights but would have liked the security of the scratchers.

I took my usual route out of Lempster over into Pillsbury state park and headed towards Bradford and Lake Todd.  A quick rip across  the lake and I was into the Sunapee trails. From here, I headed to Newport and wanted to do a loop around into unity via the sugar River trail.  All trails were still in great shape with a good base...I'm not sure they'll be here once the 60° temps hit but, I'm grateful for today's conditions!

Sugar river trail brought me through my favorite covered bridges.  I headed up through the mica mines trails and continued my loop into unity, acworth, alstead and down into my club trails in Marlow.  Before getting into Marlow, I took an unmarked trail that brought me to a new viewing area on top of Beryl Mtn...views were amazing!  I could see up to 4 ski areas looking west into Vermont..  Can't wait to return and have a nice lunch up there..  Crossing rt10 back into lempster, I made the final leg home in time to go pick up Dylan down in Mass.  Total mileage was 81.7 miles.  Sarge 388
