I am in for the trip, keep me in the loop via text as well. looking forward to some club riding.
I'm seeing alot of activity out of Northern Maine on the forums. I'm not apposed to VT either. How many members are going on this "special" anniversary trip? The Sarge

That gross picture of #2 in his undies was not from that trip.
Love 11 of 12 pictures.
That was some good riding. Several were missed on that trip, especially that underwear model. I'd do that trip again. Reasonably priced, lots of snow, great trails, 2 different hotel bases so our longest day (and best day) of riding had no backpacks.

okay well at the prompt of the Pres, which is really great leadership btw, I can update on my snow readiness. My sleds were started about 3 weeks ago, I am happy to report all proper spring maintenance was performed so therefore sleds are ready to roll. They are positioned in Sterling although I'd like to grease the wheel bearings on the now... what is it... 2 year old axle?
I fully intend to join the 25th annual trip - I look forward to it every single year - it is without a doubt one of the highlights I look forward to every riding season. As a sidebar, #7, I just want to say that I have about 1,000 pictures on my phone, and honestly I never look at any of them, save one. Do you remember the pristine virgin trail we took, I want to say it was 13 miles or something, on our trip? At the end of the trail I made us both stop before our skis turned back onto groomed trail, and I jumped off and walked around without disturbing the untracked snow in front of our sleds, and I snapped a picture. I look at that photo all the time. I cherish that moment of riding Back to the post.
If we are to stay in the U.S., then I'd like to try a new area, but I am a broken record on that suggestion. Of course, you are correct #7, we need to follow the snow. But that never stopped us from planning a trip before now did it?? So where haven't we done a trip before? Or maybe we should go back to the beginning - Jackman, Moosehead Lake, The Forks - and we can get "useless in Eustis". That cabin at NEOC was damn good!! Remember the years of looking into the Snow Train. Ah, the boundaries were limitless then. Anyways, I know VT seems like a PITA, but really all I ever hear is about how nice it is riding there because the low traffic means pancake flat trails all day long. What if we looked into trails in the NorthEast Kingdom. There's got to be 2.5 days of riding there waiting for us.
#388, I went into Higgins the other day to grab a couple stocking stuffers for my new dual sport rider in the family. He needs to be fully outfitted. Nothing in there except 185" Mountain machines. I mean, when did we get powder covered mountain elevation riding in New England?? They carry new tractors called LS or something? South Korea. But something I never noticed in that store before, a showroom full of motorcycles. How did I miss that before? Guess I had sled tunnel vision.
Okay, enough for now, good to shout out to everyone again. I'll try to check in. Anyone hear anything from #10? I got a merry xmas text from him. I'd like to see him on the trail again. Pray for snow!
I started up the sled. I registered my trailer. Do you want a laugh? I don't know how to charge my battery. I had a couple questions before I hooked up the leads (do I unhook anything). #2 walked me through it.
FEB 4th. #2 and I are tentatively scheduled to do 3 days of riding up north. We will be following the snow, Maine or NH. We are already talking about heading up Thursday evening. All are invited, all are encouraged to take 2/4/22 off from work. If you can manage even most of the weekend we are flexible to ride with you.
I really enjoyed the short trip up north last season, I'd be open for another to mark the 25th year. There is plenty of parking at the homestead #7 for all. It's amazing to see how many spring check sleds are coming in without parts...more crazy times. Merry Christmas!
I have done nothing to get ready for the season. Not sure where my key is. My wife threw my trailer registration renewal slip in the trash. Pretty sure I can still renew. I did buy oil at Bob's Ski Doo. All the new sleds are taking delivery without electronic components. I guess they are shipping later. There were like 9 sleds in the shop with names on them with holes in the dashboard where the electronics go. Ouch.
I look forward to day trips, hopefully to ride right out of 388's place. Is there enough parking or an alternate spot to park? Also some overnights would be good. Looking like Quebec is out this year again. We will get back there some day eh'.
The traditional and modern 25th year anniversary gift is silver, therefore the 25th anniversary is known as the silver anniversary. ... In some parts of the world silver is also considered to be sacred and holy, even possessing mystical powers.
I Think it is time to start talking about the 25th trip in 2022.........
