Thanks for the well wishes. I'm interested in seeing how a trip with just 3 people goes. It's an interesting and completely different dynamic than anything before.
We'll let you know how that goes. I for one am excited about the riding, the terrain, the views, the time away from work and good times with my one and only brother.
Who knows how it will go. The ride reports will be honest and descriptive. I might even take some notes along the way.
Obviously, we need to make some changes to get more to attend next season. I trust that 9 months will give all of us amble time to come up with something that works for the majority of our core group.
Since this project is on such a breakneck pace - I was hoping this meeting would be changed 6 times by now, but it is still on and now I'm presenting at it.
So I would like to wish our traveler's good speed and may the wind and snow be at your back. As the famous poet once said: when presented with a [trail] that diverges in the wood - take the one less travelled and it will make all the difference.
I will take plenty of pictures and movies during the trip.
Has anyone changed their mind? Sunday at 6:00am is our departure. Just talk to the boss one more time, rearrange some meetings and cash in some favors.
#10, No offense but other than #4 and perhaps #388, I'm not sure too many members want to go to your house and rub other WPRacers I'm just a little uncomfortable with the whole idea. What has this club become
Certainly looking forward to hearing the stories and seeing the pics. Helping #2 with the trailer this afternoon brought a sad feeling in my heart that I am unable to attend this year, however at the same time a feeling of excitement for those that are going this year - You'll have a GREAT time!!!
I would like to invite all WPR memeber over the house for an 'after Gaspe 09' trip. I will try to get a projector for slideshows and pictures to be displayed...so take LOTS of pics & VIDEO, I'll have a PC for internet access if needed, and we all look forward to the stories. Refreshments will be served and I am sure there will be some rubbing for those of us that did not attend, we will come preparred for the beating.
I would like to throw out a few possible dates: Friday, March 20th Friday, March 27th Saturday, March 28th
If folks would prefer a weeknight that can be done as well, just let me know your preference.

I'm am beside myself. All year I wait, all year I daydream about 4 days of riding and eating Escargot, Onion Soup and Big Steaks. I vow to learn more French, but I don't lift a finger to do so. I say I'm bringing more cash and I really do. I say I'm going to pack less in my bag and I don't.
These 5 days are an eternity. I'll try to call you guys this afternoon or this evening.
I can only imagine how much snow will be up there. Don't drive off the mountain like #5 almost did last year (those red fences will most definitely be buried this year!!!!!!!)
I'm sorry, #5, you will be missed. Difficult economic times have struck my business as well. We still have 2 rooms at Hotel Rimouski if you are able to work something out at work this week. Let us know if you can ASAP.
I am offering to drive if you want to take a 2 place trailer. With my bed open it is 80" long to the end of the tailgaite. I don't know how that fits with #2's trailer, but the offer stands...
Trail conditions look really good for the next 10 days on www.weather.com. Snowing 4 days in a row. All days below freezing. Sun suddenly appears when we get there 3/9.
Man are you going to hear it now! WOW! Sorry to hear you can't go as well. I'd still like to salvage a 3 day trip in NH. Would you be game for that? I'm in Philly for the 10th and 11th. let me know.
I'm going to say right up front that I am about to pull a #3/#99.
As I've mentioned, I have recently been put on a project at work which has a schedule that has put pressure on me being able to attend the trip this year. Yesterday at 5pm my boss informed me of a mandatory multi-day meeting in NJ on what days? You guessed it - the same days as our trip.
So with regret, I am out of the trip this year. I know this looks bad where I had just recently proposed a different trip - but I told y'all that the reason was because of this project and not being able to take an entire week off for snowmobiling.
I think #99 may be onto something with putting the trip back in the winter (Jan/Feb) again. It appears participation in this year's trip will be an all-time low so perhaps by making this trip larger and larger we have actually done ourselves a dis-service in terms of actually getting members to go on it.
My sincere apologies for this "last minute" drop out. But I'm sure I don't have to remind anyone of what the working environment is out there and I feel forturnate just to be employed so it's hard to be too upset about it. I'm sure there's no argument there.
Anyway, just some thoughts. I will get the reg for the 4-place to you guys before you go. Have a ball, be safe, take pictures, write reports. On behalf of all the lame members that will not be with you - HAVE A GREAT TIME - WE'LL BE WITH YOU IN SPIRIT.

ps> New Jersey versus Quebec - yeah, it's almost the same thing! Argh..
