13, so the purpose of your last post is to tell everyone that you went for a run through the streets of Montreal naked? You should take your camper to the "LAND PARTY" this summer.
On the other hand... (regarding the F1 race) The Isle de Notre Dame location also has a great amusement park, the olympic rowing basin which is basically the worlds largest swimming pool, and a casino as well. I did a triathlon on the F1 course a while back and it was pretty cool. I hear you regarding $$ but I'd be surprised if there wasnt some good camping options with 30 minutes if you didnt want to stay on St. Catherine St (which is where I assume #7 would be)
#7, I looked into taking my kids to the F1 Grand Prix in Montreal and the more I looked into it, the less appealing it became. The race is in the city and everything is very expensive, (affordable) lodging is very limited so I looked into camping nearby, they said access to the track is difficult and there are no good viewing places outside the grandstands for this temporary road circuit on an island park.
Every review says it is one of the least desirable F1 races to attend. It does not offer the typical race weekend experience because of its downtown location. But it is the only F1 event in North America again this year so...
I think F1 will return to Indy someday and I will return with it. Maybe one of the best places to see an F1 race for its uniqueness that you can see the entire track from the grandstands which are plentiful and affordable with plenty of camping/lodging and cheap eateries nearby. We moved around the track all weekend long and then sat across from the pits and could see the whole racetrack on race day. It was perfect.
Other than there, I would love to go to the Budapest Grand Prix someday, or Monaco (pipe dream), or Monza. But I will go on the record #7, if you really want to plan a trip to the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal the weekend of June 11-13 - I will definately make every effort I possibly can to join you!!
First, BC beat Yale 9-7 on the road the Frozen Four or was that a beer league softball score? They got a legit shot, They are two wins away from being National Champs. That must be exciting for beerless #4. Tell me you went this past weekend?
2. Go see "Hot Tub-Time Machine". I'm not kidding, it's as funny as "The Hangover".
3. I got the F1 Official Racing Schedule: Who wants to go to Montreal in June?
