Tranny,

I actually registered my sleds this year and rode locally once.  I have also upgraded the machines this year.  I sold the Sno scoot, polaris 120 and the prox 800.  New/used purchase was a Polaris 550 fan with m-10 suspension with electric start and reverse for my son.  Looking to purchase another touring model in the upcoming weeks. I started the Ashby Sno Travelers club this year and we have two members to date.  The Star of the fleet is a 1964 Polaris Sno Traveler and this will serve as the clubs logo.  Still in the start up phases of this club but I do know that you are not welcome.

Like to make a motion now that you are back that we refer to #13 as the "Tranny" from this point moving forward.  Your thoughts?

"#2 thought the word he used was tranny, which is amusing all by itself." Funniest post all year #7, excellent work (and #4 is still a jerk)

Today the club elevated to a new status.  The snow gods looked down upon the only WPR riders that are serious about this club.  They recognize who are the real snowmobilers are.  So #2, #5, #7, #10 have become the nucleus of the club.  Even though they continued to ignore that they were the special chosen ones, the snow gods proved that they should take the mantle.

They even decided to test and head south where they knew beyond a doubt that the snow/rain line would get them, it was nothing but big fat flakes all day long.  Covering the bullet proof ice below.

So it was that the 4 would ride without issue.  191 miles when only 120 requested (from the pissy #5).  So as we hoped to break 400 - 650+ miles were easily tucked away.  WHich leads us to the topic, The Prez sez we rode over 4 days, but we were only issued a 3 day (aka 72 hour) pass.  So, the conflict, after Pork Pie+Caesar salad, was if we have achieved, an average of over 200 miles per day.  So we will go to the poor, loser, cop-out, non-rider, stay-at-home, last minute ditch members.  Maybe one day we will know if the decision to not come was acceptable or whether it was truly a cop out.  I've heard it may have been influenced by weather, but I can't believe that.

And what about #'s 99 and 13???  What up w/ that??

Ok, we have just been given the 2 minute warning so we'll leave it at that.

We drive home in the rain tomorrow.  We couldn't have had a better trip in 2011.

I am calling this the 10 year anniversary trip even though it's been more like 14 years or something.

Contributions to this post made by #'s 2, 7, and 10.  Over and out from the Great State of Maine.

#4,

#13 is attempting a coup de'etat (government take over) and it won't work.  Your temporary power is equal to or above Lyndon B. Johnson's back in 1963.

Just brush away his little attempt at tyranny. It won't work. #2 thought the word he used was tranny, which is amusing all by itself.

#4 is the best fill in president since Apple's Scott Forstall.  I quote the great Michael Corleone, "Don't ever go against the family"

#5 thinks he's Brad Pitt. He's more entertaining than HBO.

#10 tells more stories than Dr. Suess.

This might be the best riding in years. It was under our noses all along and we were too stubborn to realize it.

I am among the 10 best trail boss'es in the club. With #13 kicked out, I'm now in the top 9.

Pez, you need to come home quickly.  Much like Libya, WPR racing is in a state of chaos.  In four short days #4 (Mohammar as most members now call him) has turned the place upside down with hysterical rants and unintelligible mandates.  He needs to be stopped.  Members from Brookline to West Townsend have been rallying against his tyranny but we can't hold out much longer.  Looking forward to next week.. -Freedom Fighter#13

Notes from #2: #4, how are you dealing with #3's antics?  150 miles was a perfect 10; 38 miles were a 5 (active logging roads).  Enjoyed the best fish (Alaskan Pollack) sandwich ever.  Prepared deep fryed in soy bean oil.  Cannot believe we have not stayed here as a club in the past, it is our vibe.  Food, drinks, hot tub, billiards, each have our own bedroom, kitchen, trail access, ample parking, etc, etc.  Everything is here.

Notes from #10: the video evidence will show that I passed #5 like he hit the kill switch.  Trail between Pittston Farm and East Carry is one of my very favorites of all time.  It did not disappoint this time either.  The throw back theme has been great, an enjoyable relaxing pace.  Making/brining our own prepared meals has been great.

Notes from #5: We could not have hit the weather better if we tried.  Just dumb luck.  an evening ride and 2 perfect riding days, sunny, cold, the snow has set up perfectly.  Snow is starting back up tonight, expecting 2-4 inches tomorrow.  We will take whatever she serves up and then load em up.  Rain expected Friday to wash the trailer off on the ride home.

Notes from #7:  Riding beats the hell out of working. The snow is endless in this snowmobiling Mecca.

#13,

All power has been shifted to me while the Pres is away and my first decision is to once again throw you out of the club.  Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.  Don't post anymore.  Go join the Wilton Wanderers they would be a better fit for you.

We've seen 3 moose since we've been here. They were less hairy than the girls we've met.

All who didn't attend misjudged the amount of snow in inches, it equals #7's waist.

You can sponsor us at the bar with donations to our main man KIRK at the bar 1-800-765-7238. He gladly accepts VISA and Mastercard.  Please OVERtip since we lied and said we were rich.

There are topless women in the jacuzzi, but the men have bigger tits and are much better looking.

Updates tomorrow after I start drinking.

That's very "deep" Pez.  Thank you for sharing your wisdomwink  I hope it's better up there than down here.  Total wash  out.  Solid rain for last 24 hours, rivers rising, mud season very quickly approaching.  That said,  my kids rode the 340 and sno scoot in the rain yesterday for over 2 hours.  Repeatedly hitting a jump until the headlight came flying off the sno-scoot.  Without support from 2-Guys garage, I simply unplugged the connector to the light, unbolted the remaining assembly and let them continue doing the jump.  Both kids are finally ready to let me sell the 120 so if anyone knows of anyone looking for a near perfect condition 2006 arctic cat 120 let me know.  Find the snow boys and have fun!!  13 out

#10,

You are the man! Good job locking up the cabin for the week. The price is perfect. he location is even better. I'm getting really excited about doing some riding.

I cleaned out my truck for your riding comfort.

I just got my sled back from the shop and took it for a ride around the yard. It fired right up and the engine was smoother than Johnny Walker Blue.

I put on new Stud Boy Shaper bars.  4.5" on the inside and 6" on the outside.

I was on the call last night. I'm ready to go Sunday or Monday. I want to ride. I am in agreement with whomever wants to get up there first. I am willing to take short or long ride when we get there regardless of the time of evening.

I've prepared my sled, my work, my trailer, my family, my money and my truck well in advance of this trip.  Anyone who hasn't prepared should brush up on their organization skills and not blame others for their shortcomings.

I've waited all year for this trip and I'm excited to go.

Little side note:
Please do not use profanity on this site, at least spell whatever you need to say wrong. I ask this because my company blocks sites with profanity.  I have to jump through hoops just to get on at work now, Wymanpondracing.com no longer is a valid site for my workplace. I have to go right to the forum and I don't want that blocked also.
nuff said.

Looking forward to riding Maine for the first time in 10 count them 10 years.

Hey Fellows, I'm sorry I couldn't join the conference call last night.  I noticed #7 didn't make it either.  I have never ridden the Millinocket area so I was looking forward to seeing a new area but I suppose the reason I've never ridden there is because they never seem to have reliable snow that far east/lower elevation.  [It's like trying to plan a snowmobile trip for Needham.]

I like that we're planning on staying at The Forks, that area always seemed to have terrific snow when we've ridden through.  It will feel different than the Jackman trips, and we haven't ridden this area in many many years.  I just want to confirm that the main lodge has wireless internet so #2 and #5 can connect in case of calamity at work.  If so, then book away, but read my suggestion below first.

I like the WPR Goes Retro theme!!  That will be our circle the wagons cry.

I will bring my saddlebags in case we decide to strike out for an overnight loop, I have no problem with that.  I say we wait until we're up there to make that call.  I'm sure the place we book in The Forks will not have a problem with us not staying one night in the middle of the week in March.

At this point in time, it's looking like the best riding weather-wise will be Monday afternoon, Tuesday and Wednesday so the Monday morning meeting time/place is fine I just have one major question with that plan:

When will we load sleds on the 4-place?  How will #2 & #3 get their sleds to exit 38 on I-495 (assuming I have the 4-place and #7 is picking up #10 on his way)?

I can pick up the 4-place Friday (today) afternoon, Saturday before evening, or Sunday afternoon.  Just let me know what folks want to do.

I offer an option if people will still be free Sunday:

If you look at the Jackman weather forecast, it looks like snow on Monday so we could still leave Sunday afternoon and ride north on Monday morning.  Maybe do the Moosehead Lake loop for a 250 mile out of the gate ride on the first day.  I think it might be very reminiscent of the light rain/blustery day we were called pussies by women riders and struck out of St. Anne.  That turned out to be the right call as we rode north and we had a good day of riding.  We know clear skies are following this warm air/rain so there should be no change of getting caught.

If you look at Millinocket weather it is calling for light rain/mix on Monday so the wet weather is moving east slowly.  I only suggest that we stay on high alert to leave Sunday in case everything moves through 1/2 day to a day early then Thursday's weather won't catch us late Wednesday and we'll still get 2.5 solid days in.  In any event, I will be ready to go anytime after Sunday noon.

I will bring a Shepard's Pie for one night.  If we eat it great, if we don't I'll just keep it frozen and bring it home.  I will also bring a case of beer for the cabin.  And a deck of cards.  I still have #10's Sled Heads/Extreme Velocity DVD (sorry, I just found this #10) that I will bring.  Don't forget to charge your communicators.

Sorry for the length of the post.  Hard to focus on work with the trip so close.
