Pres, I'm afraid all of your hard work will be lost. These posts should all be under a separate Day 4 Ride Report posting.
Will #10 write Day 3 (around Moosehead)? I am getting the itch to write it! I love to read these at the height of the summer heat. It cools me from the inside. I imagine being there, in the cold brisk air. Kinda like the York Peppermint Patty - get the sensation!!
I kicked #13 out of the club which is what this club needed most. Since then my daughter has been benched (#13 is her soccer coach) but I'd do it again :).
Hey, you can never discourage snowmobile posts on this page, especially as they continue strong into May!!
Well done Pres, you are bringing back so many rich memories. Have to say, one of the nicest trips in years. Just easy, relaxing, low key, enjoyable, and all around very very excellent.
On top of that, he is covering for the other member who just doesn't have time to write his ride report. ahem ahem!
So here is the world's largest sunflower. Or maybe it's just the largest north of Niagara, NY. I can't believe the Pres has not shared the story of how #5 could not remember that he had been to Grand Falls before. I would have bet my hat on it, and would have promptly lost it when he posted a picture of me standing in front of it. It was a prime example of the 80's styles and all our roots.
Well done Pres, you are a great Pres. What did #4 do as interim Pres????? Nothin. #13 is back and it's as if he never left. Just like our immigration laws. No enforcement.
It would be nice if you could put a little effort into the ride reports. I can tell that you just want to blow out these reports as quickly as possible. It looks like you might be texting these reports while driving. Show a little passion. Read #2 reports for help. The pres has a gift for combining fact with detail. The pres makes you indentify with him as if you were there. For example " we rode 106 miles on 1 tank of gas". Very rarely do I share one tank of gas with the rest of the group and rarer still would we all go 106 miles on it! He leaves me begging for more. Did he use the super syphon? Study his body of work and see if you can write more like him.

#2, I look forward to the day 4 ride report. I hope that 11 word post is a preview of the report that's still to come. I concur with most of your day 2 post rebuttel. Except that I believe my belt fiasco was not a minor issue and that it took over an hour of our time. I go to great lengths to try and not hold up the group by having my machine professionally maintained. I'm also very fortunate to ride with people who can step up and solve problems through ingenuity, experience, confidence and know how. I rode very lightly on the throttle for the next couple of days fearing something like that would happen again. I have a theory that begins with my track clips bending and wearing out my slides the past 3 seasons of 1000 miles. I think this is making my engine work harder to accellerate. Hard clutch engagement and wanting my sled to accellerate faster is wearing my belts faster than it did when it was a young pup.
Nice report. Very good depiction of that day's riding.
#2 brought the breakfast food, I just started the cooking to speed things that morning.
I did enjoy the Shepherd's pie. It was a good hearty meal after a long day of riding.
I'd definately go back to the Forks/Northern Outdoors again. I've been saying for years that we should take two trips per season. It makes sense with our difficult work and family schedules.
#5 lets not forget the minor belt issue that we had to deal with. Removal of the left hand door, secondary clutch, tool kit holder, and 10000 cords took almost an hour before we could continue home in the dark. Also, just before this belt eruption we saw that moose in the pictures.
Also are the 4 movies, uploading pictures, publishishing the gps track maps not considers part of the ride reports? I guess I will step up for you # 5 and write day 4 since I clearly am not pulling my own weight.
