Pittsburg 3 new snow. The club reports that the entire trail system is groomed, including the Malvina Loop Trail, with good to great riding conditions. The Warming Hut is open on Saturday from 10 to 3. CAUTION there is a pressure ridge on 1st CT Lake across from The Glen.
Diamond Pond/Coleman State Park 2 to 6 base, 4 new snow. Groomed trails, moderate to excellent conditions depending on location of trail.
Colebrook 1 to 2 base, 2 to 4. Groomed trails, moderate conditions.
Errol 2 base, 1 new snow. Groomed trails, moderate to good conditions.
Milan Not groomed, marginal conditions.
Berlin 1 to 2 base. Groomed trails, marginal to moderate conditions.
East Side of Berlin/Success Not groomed trails, marginal conditions.
Gorham 1 to 2 base. 75% of trails open. Not all gates open. Groomed trails where able. Riding north of Route 2 is moderate and south of it is marginal.
Groveton/Nash Stream 1 to 2 base. Not groomed, moderate conditions.
Groveton Village 1 base. Not groomed, marginal conditions. Corridor 5 from Groveton Village south to Lancaster is CLOSED FOR THE SEASON due to active railroad.
Stratford Groomed with good riding in higher elevations and moderate conditions in the valley.
Jefferson 1 to 2 base. Packing trails, marginal conditions.
Lancaster CLOSED
Twin Mountain 3 to 6 base, 1 new snow. Trails are groomed with moderate conditions around town and good conditions in Base Road area. Franconia Notch Bike Path 1 base. Not Groomed, marginal conditions. Limited connections to the north and south.
Campton/Thornton 2 to 4 base. Groomed trails with marginal conditions. Corridor 11 rail grade does not have enough snow on it.
Central NH
Baker River Area/Rumney There is riding in the higher elevations and the club reports they are doing some grooming when conditions are appropriate.
Bear Notch/Bartlett Open for riding. No new snow since the last trail report. Be alert and watch for other trail users; this network is heavily used by cross country skiers and sled dogs.
Southern NH
Bear Brook State Park/Pawtuckaway State Park Both parks are CLOSED for riding at this time!
Recreational Rail Trails (State-owned): Open for riding, but snow coverage varies and those with rail may have exposed rail so use caution! Connecting trails are likely closed. Be careful when using pass-throughs.
Ashuelot: Gates open Cheshire Line: Gates open Farmington: Gates open Fort Hill Line: Gates open Hillsborough: Gates open Northern: Gates open Rockingham: Gates remain closed at this time. No grooming. Winter ATV (50 width maximum) permitted Windham to Epping only. Sugar River: Gates open
Railroad Corridors:
Riding on ACTIVE railroad tracks is illegal and extremely dangerous. Riders should not operate along, within, or across active railroads. Railroads that become snowmobile trails are signed open for winter use and are listed on this website.
Concord to Lincoln: No report at this time Bartlett/Bear Notch: Open for riding. No new snow since the last trail report. Be alert and watch for other trail users; this network is heavily used by cross country skiers and sled dogs. Whitefield to Groveton/Corridor 5A: No report at this time
Clubs/areas not listed are not reporting at this time. Most central and southern trails on private lands are still closed for use and gates are not open. Please remember to be respectful of landowners wishes and ride on open designated trails ONLY. No land use = no trail system!
As always, ride with caution stay to the right of the trail ride within your means and yield to other trail users such as mushers and cross country skiers. Use caution when riding on any rail trails as the snow is easily wind-blown and there may be rail exposure. Lakes and ponds should still be considered unsafe and riders should avoid riding on them. We all want to have a safe, enjoyable time.
