WHAT A TRIP!! If this was the shakedown for the Quebec trip - then members should do whatever they can to make the next trip because this was absolutely fantastic snowmobiling in central Maine!! Thanks to the Pres for all the effort and time it takes to record and post these trip videos - it is a great way for us to do research when we need to for future rides. For those of you that don't have 25 minutes to indulge in the film of 3 days that 3 WPR members were blessed to experience, at least go to 13:16 for a funny surprise when we hit lunch - who can name this far out of the way little town??!?! Hint: it sounds like one of the tropical destinations in the modern Beach Boys hit with the chorus that goes: "We get there fast and then we'll take it slow".
#7 was smart in driving up a day early, #2 and #5 roughed out the perilous journey as our riding area was getting dumped on arriving just in time to watch the AFC championship game with food beer and Pats fans. The cabin was off the charts good and we had comfortable accommodations. The riding in and around Baxter State Park was nearly perfect. The groomers got out there and had a majority of the main thoroughfares in ship shape by the end of day 1. we had to go looking for ungroomed after that. each night we planned the next day's direction and was never disappointed in the beauty, terrain, lunch and gas all where it needed to be. The Pres reports there is only Shin Pond to Portage Lake to connect all of Maine by WPR riders.
I can't wait to ride again, I am jonsein' to get out there again. I want to start the discussion on the Qc trip. Dates are selected. Tow vehicles, trailers and sleds are ready. Can we fill two trailers?? We need at least one more - c'mon!! Answer the bell.

Our cabin and view from out front of it... note the amount of snow piled up on the picnic table outside the window. Ya, there's snow up there!!!
